05-24-2002 Thanks for visiting my site. Most of this is an experiment of sorts. Well, I suppose that could be said of most music. I have been a guitar player since I was 12. I really enjoy writing songs and it usually happens when I get some inspiration from some place I wasn't expecting it. Check out my song S.H.M.I.L.Y. This song came from a story I had heard on the radio. I went home and started the song. Didn't even come close to finishing it. It was a tough song for me to write. It then got put aside for a long while. Finally I just picked up the pen and guitar and finished it. I knew as I was writing it I would somehow try to find the author of the story I heard on the radio. A year went by and a friend heard the song and loved it. She offered to try and find the author through a little net detective searching. Well Jenni found her and I have since contacted Laura Jeanne Allen. The story was written about her grandparents. She listened with her parents and liked the song. If you would like to read her story you can go here. http://www.dobhran.com/greetings/GRinspire112.htm You should also listen to Jenni's songs at: http://artists2.iuma.com/IUMA/Bands/Jenni_Cameron/ I hope you like the song. If you like inspirational songs I think you'll like this. Whew! So, as I was saying. I play guitar, Harmonica, some keys, Sax and am learning violin. My originals on this site are S.H.M.I.L.Y., Worst of a Trave, (a trave is a 'bunch' or 'the whole lot.'), Grief, A new set of Martins.(guitar instrumental) plus an acapela version of Little Deuce Coupe that I like alot. All of these are on Album 3. Also, another one I like is 'Since I Fell for You" by Lenny Welch from 1963. I hope you listen and then let me know what you think. Thanks, Dann. P.S. Listen to 'Somewhere out There' with famous vocalist Barbara (Bobby) Landsteiner.
